HCM city newspaper and Abbott Laboratories SA officially launched a charity programme last Saturday to raise funds for poor people in need of health care.
The programme, called Reduce it, will set up a fund and encourage private contributions topay for health services for disadvantaged individuals listed on the ( Please, Donot Neglect Them ) column of the HCm City Woman newspaper.
HCM city - as many as 28 stalls were destroyed when a night at a market in Binh Tan district. The stalls at the market, located on Ho Ngoc Lam road , An lac Ward, contained flammable i tems including footwear, cosmetics and clothes, causing the fire to spread quickly.
The situation was compounded by the layout of the stalls, which posed a challenge to the nearly 200 firefighters mobilised. It took them two hours to extinguish the blaze.
