This is the first multiple-choice test about our history in English to celebrate the thousand year anniversary of Ha Noi as the capital city. Let’s look over the interesting numbers from this first round.
2000: the number of students from 100 high schools in Ha Noi registered through official information channel of the competition on the website:

Waiting for the second round
The second round will take place on July 31st 2010; all students will take 50 multiple–choice questions in many fields which make students understand more about Ha Noi. Students who have the highest score in the first and second round (from 20-30 students) will participate in the third round – the most exciting round.
These excellent students will participate in 2 parts: answering questions in both a written exam and also some more, directly from the teachers. The criteria will be based on the knowledge and English ability.
The final round will take place at a theatre at Ha Noi at the same time of 1000 year Thang Long – Ha Noi ceremony.

Int’l tourism festival to celebrate grand anniversary of Hà Nội
02/08/2010 16:37:00 VGP - The International Tourism Festival 2010 will take place from October 2-5 and the National Tourism Year 2010 will be launched at the Bảo Sơn Paradise resort to celebrate the 1,000th founding anniversary of Thăng Long-Hà Nội, according to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Among 315 standard booths, 50 are national booths for countries in 5 continents, 100 booths for tourism businesses in Hà Nội, 115 booths for Culture, Sports and Tourism departments and tourism enterprises in other 62 cities and provinces nationwide, and 50 booths for sponsors and tourism service providers.
The 4-day festival will feature many art performances, folk games, and street activities, including Then singing of the Thái ethnic people, water puppet shows, ceremonial song singing, Nghệ Tĩnh folk song performances, Chinese chess, and cooking competitions.
The festival will also reproduce daily activities of Hanoians in the late 19th and early 20th century, including royal doctoral exams and calligraphy performances. Artisans in the city will show their skills through different stages of handicraft production.
